The internet is a great resource for crafters and needleworkers! Not only can you get on Ravelry and be part of an international knitting and crochet community with access to hundreds of pattens and ideas, but also many of your favorite yarn lines and magazines have pages on Facebook and will keep you updated on the newest happenings. Classic Elite, Berroco, Tahki, K1C2, Knitting Daily (Interweave), and Lion Brand have daily or weekly newsletters you can subscribe to and have new free patterns and the latest yarns hit your inbox to get your creative juices flowing. Finally, Knitter's Review is another resource if you want the low-down on how many, many yarns actually perform on your needles.

And although this doesn't count as sale, I wanted to let everyone know that with the new fall yarn there are going to be some price increases - so come in soon if you want Encore products or Lamb's Pride worsted, 'cause the price will be going up with the next re-order. |

In the past couple of years we've seen more and more "chainette" style yarn. Instead of being spun and looking like a twisted spiral, it looks like knitted I-cord (which it basically is). The first two yarns were Louisa Harding's Kashmir line and Rowan's Lima. This year there has been an explosion in this category in all guages - Berroco's Flicker, Mirasol's Ushya for example - and more are coming for fall 2011 season. We have very quickly become big fans of this style - it's very light and lofty so it will do a variety of gauges and it resists pilling even in very soft fibers. Come in and give it a try!
